FACILITATOR: Miles Free, PMPA Director of Industry Research and Technology

If you are charged with rallying employees behind the concepts of quality and continuous improvement, join the Canada Chapter members for a viewing and discussion of The Goal. This meeting will feature the video, based on the classic bestselling novel by Dr. Eli Goldratt - an engaging "how-to" drama, this 45-minute video demystifies corporate buzzwords like "standards" and “benchmarking.”

The Goal is the story of how manager Alex Rogo uses principles like "bottlenecks," "throughput," and the "theory of constraints" to transform his mediocre division into a money-making machine.

Following the video, PMPA’s Miles Free will facilitate and discuss the “How To” Training Points:
• How to rally your team behind the improvement process.
• How to identify and eliminate system bottlenecks.
• How to measure the viability of new ideas.
• How to plan for ongoing improvement.

For those who have not read the book, the video is a great way to learn more about the "continuous improvement" concept. And for those who have read The Goal, the video is an excellent tool for spreading its important message to others.
