PMPA Education Foundation Golf Outing

Cost: $250.00 per person

The Annual PMPA Education Foundation Golf Outing will be held at the The Pete Dye Course on the grounds of The Westin Mission Resort. A scramble format will be used - players of all skill levels are invited! The $250.00 fee includes greens fee, cart, range privileges, lunch, and bottled water. A boxed lunch will be provided. Golf awards will be presented at light reception following the outing.

Included in the Golf Outing price is a $100.00 donation to the PMPA Educational Foundation which is tax deductible. Participants in the Golf Outing will receive a statement from the Foundation confirming this tax deductible donation. All proceeds from the Golf Outing will benefit the PMPA Educational Foundation.

Four levels of sponsorship are available, and the Education Foundation will provide one complimentary golf registration for every $500.00 sponsorship to the outing. See the attached brochure for more information and sponsorship registration.

The deadline to submit sponsorship registration is September 15, 2010.

About the Course:

The Pete Dye Course at The Westin Mission Hills Resort


The Pete Dye Resort Course exemplifies tradition and prestige. It is one of Dye's most enjoyable layouts and boasts all of his trademarks, including the use of railroad ties, pot bunkers, elevated tees and hidden pin placements.

The 18-hole Pete Dye course at the Mission Hills Country Club facility in Rancho Mirage, California features 6,955 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 73.9 and it has a slope rating of 135. Designed by Pete Dye, ASGCA, the Pete Dye golf course opened in 1970.

Golf Magazine has selected the Westin Mission Hills Resort & Spa as a Silver Medal Resort Winner in their annual listing of the top 75 destinations for golf and resort accomodations.

Palm Springs Aerial Tramway

The Palm Springs Aerial Tram on Mt. Jacinto is a true adventure! The rotating cable cars guide passengers 2-1/2 miles up the mountainside to a height of 8,516 ft. Up at the top, enjoy spectacular views, gift shops, a natural history museum and a movie about how the Tramway was built. Mount San Jacinto State Park offers 54 miles of hiking trails and guided mule rides. This trek to the top of the mountain is truly breathtaking—it’s the only one of its kind in North America!

The Living Desert Zoo and Botanical Gardens

This 1,200-acre wild life and botanical park is accredited by the American Zoo and Aquarium Association. Featuring rare and endangered desert animals and African wildlife including Bighorn sheep mountain lions, Mexican wolves, cheetahs, giraffes and many more. Includes hiking trails, picnic areas, gift shops and native plants in the Wortz demonstration garden.

Palm Springs Air Museum

The Palm Springs Air Museum contains one of the world’s largest collections of flying World War II military aircraft. In addition to aircraft, there is an exquisite antique automobile collection from the 1920’s and 30’s. The museum contains approximately 5,000 sq. ft. of interior display space—you can find fine aviation art from small watercolors to massive murals throughout the institution.

Palm Springs Desert Museum

Public and privately funded and a nationally accredited art and natural science facility. The museum includes galleries, Annenberg Theatre, Sculpture gardens, fine permanent collections, top changing exhibitions, lectures, concerts and classes.
