IIOT Can Help You Successfully Reshore Production
Download Webinar
Recorded: September 22, 2020   11am

Reshoring is a rising trend in manufacturing to handle some challenges with an offshored supply chain. Reshoring has significant benefits as well as some risks. A number of those risks such as cost, quality, and communication can be addressed by using manufacturing analytics / IIoT solutions. The webinar is  presented by Dave Grafton of Ecotbox and briefly discusses those risks of reshoring and practical ways a manufacturing analytics / IIoT solution can address those risks.

You will takeaway the expert definition of what is driving reshoring, a valuable list of the major risks in reshoring and specific solutions to mitigate the risks

Understanding the Business Impact of the NEW DFARS Cybersecurity Requirements
Download Webinar
Recorded: September 15, 2020   11am

Watch SSE as they discuss the potential business impact of the upcoming DFARS Cybersecurity requirements and what manufacturers working in the defense industry need to know and why they should prepare immediately. This is “make or break” time for the defense contracting industry.  Many insider experts are predicting that Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) will “thin the herd” of defense contractors, as the entire defense industrial base faces the rigorous cybersecurity requirements mandated by the DoD and prepares for third party certifications.

Learn About:

  • The NEW requirements handed down by the US Government at the end of January 2020 and the risk of noncompliance
  • The DoD’s Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) and associated timelines
  • Discover the technical and operational requirements to meet the standards and associated investment to comply

Let's Talk Automation

Modern Machining Methods for High Speed Machining
Download Webinar

Recorded: July 28, 2020   11am

Join ESPRIT and relish in the essence of Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM). Understand the importance of CAM and learn from the experts how virtual simulation and high speed machining cycles are driving perpetual innovation in our industry.

Broaching on a CNC Lathe
Download Webinar

Recorded: July 21, 2020   11am

One operation seen on many turned parts today is broaching. Traditionally broaching has been regarded as a secondary operation that was typically performed on a broaching machine with special broaching tools. Depending on the industry, much of this type of broaching is still being done in this manner. For instance, in the automotive sector, almost all broaching is done by large expensive automatic broaching machines with specially designed broaching tools that can produce the broaching at very high speed and short cycles.

Machinability and Manufacturing of Stainless Steel
Download Webinar

Recorded: July 14, 2020   11am

Join Randy Kline and Ray Schnell, of Valbruna, as they introduce you to the manufacturing and machinability aspects of stainless steels. Randy will provide a technical overview on how stainless steels are melted, hot rolled, and cold finished to produce stainless steel bar products. Ray will provide you with an overview on the machinability of the four (4) basic families of stainless steels, i.e. Austenitic, Ferritic, Martensitic and Precipitation Hardening, with an introduction to the basic metallurgy involved with the production of stainless steels. In addition, he will review the various elements, and the processes, affecting machinability and provide some typical applications for each family.

Why Should We Consider Manufacturing Analytics/IIoT?
Download Webinar

Recorded: July 7, 2020   11am

Kevin Jones from EctoBox helps machine shops understand IIoT / Manufacturing Analytics and the potential solutions enough to make a determination of whether they should seriously consider IIoT or not. Manufacturing is moving towards needing to be more data driven to compete. However, companies struggle to understand if IIoT solutions make sense for them, can be successful, are affordable, and want to look for alternatives if available. They have also already been bombarded by IoT marketing fluff and a lot of stories of failed IoT projects. Our approach is to be transparent about the solutions, their value, and the options. We don't get into the big, high‐minded ideas of Industry 4.0/Smart Manufacturing or the IoT hype. That's been overdone already. Let's get real.

Presentation will be open and transparent about
these kinds of solutions.
* What is Manufacturing Analytics / IIoT / Remote
Machine Monitoring?
* Should we ignore Industry 4.0 and IIoT?
* How will it help our machine shop?
* How do I use it?
* Alternative solutions
* Is it valuable?
* Is it expensive?
