Managing - Sample Paid Time Off (PTO) Policy

Currently pending in Congress is a provision that if enacted into law, would require employers to provide paid sick leave to their employees. For this reason and to allow greater flexibility and ease to both employers and employees in implementing and using paid leave, many employers are streamlining all paid leave benefits into a Paid Time Off (PTO) Policy. This form PTO policy can be used instead of vacation, sick leave, personal days and other similar paid leave policies. (Note: It is important to tailor this form to an employer’s own policies and procedures.)
