Brian Beaulieu - PHOTO
Brian Beaulieu - ITR Economics

Brian has been delivering workshops and economic analysis seminars in 7 countries to thousands of business owners and executives for the last 35 years. During that period he has also been consulting with companies who need a domestic and global perspective on how to forecast, plan, and increase their profits based on business cycle trend analysis.

He is co-author of Prosperity in the Age of Decline, a powerful look at how to make the most of the US and global trends over the next 20 years. Brian also co-authored Make Your Move, a practical and insightful guide on increasing profits through business cycle changes, and noted by one reviewer as “simple, yet awesome.”  In addition, Brian co-authored But I Want It, a children’s book that helps children learn the value of money, saving, and helping others.

He is on the Board of Directors of the Ariens Company, a global leading manufacturer of outdoor power equipment, and a member of the Investment Committee for NorthStar Financial Services, CLS Investments in Omaha, Nebr.

Jeffery Downs, FranklinCovey

Jeffery J. Downs is one of FranklinCovey’s practice leaders in the 4 Disciplines of Execution. He specializes in working with executive teams in both private and public organizations to translate strategy into the fewest number of executable targets. Jeff has had numerous years of executive leadership experience and record-breaking results.

He has consulted companies such as Intel, CISCO, Boston Scientific, Comcast, Husky Energy, Wegmans, Steelcase, Siemens, DTCC, TEP, State of Michigan, Seattle  Study  Club  and  many  more. Each  of  these  organizations  have experienced   tremendous success implementing and using the 4 Disciplines of Execution.

He most recently sold Best Practice Systems, Inc. a successful eBill business he started with two partners  and  using  principles outlined in the 4 Disciplines of Execution, in just  under  seven years, lead the company to unprecedented growth earning the status of one of the 500 fastest growing companies in America.

In growing Best Practice Systems, Jeff worked with senior business leaders in companies such as Blue Cross Blue Shield, Graybar Electric, Stericycle, Glaxo Smith Kline, Allscripts, Eastern Propane and Oil, Davey Tree, City of Scottsdale, and many  others  on  how  to  optimize  business  systems, increase profit, and improve customer satisfaction.

As a leader in the 4 Disciplines practice, Jeff is asked to speak often to thousands of individuals in large corporate events and facilitate strategic goal setting with executive leaders  of Fortune 500 businesses. William Lemon

William Lemon has a variety of skills and experiences which make him a great person to provide this training on grants for businesses.  He runs the technology incubator for University of Missouri Saint Louis and has years of experience before that in academia and industry.

As incubator director he has developed training programs for existing businesses to help them grow and has also helped one-on-one the many incubator tenants he has had over the years.

His PhD in biomedical engineering from University of Michigan has helped his career in many ways.  With his expertise and credentials, he has been chosen to serve on review panels for the National Science Foundation Small Business Innovative Research program or S-B-I-R.

SBIR-type grant applications are federal grants designed to help small businesses push the cutting edge, and this is where major opportunities can be found for businesses like ours.

Sterling comes to PMPA with over 20 years’ of experience in the creation of professional development workshops, youth and community outreach, conference management, training software, talent development, and coaching. Sterling has experience as a certified teacher and school administrator. Sterling arrives at PMPA with a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Arts Degree in Adult Education & Training. He also holds a number of training related certifications. Over the years, he has held titles such as: Director of Training & Development and Senior Training manager.

Cathy has built a life where passion and people are at the core, where inspiring real relationships and transformation are paramount. She has always pursued things that she's passionate about, including leadership, organizational culture, and organizational strategy. Clients tell her what she does best is stir the difficult discussions around people and strategy. Both are about clarity, focus, and intent. Cathy believes it should be a results-oriented journey.

Cathy earned her Bachelor's degree in psychology and her Master's degree with an emphasis in organization development and leadership at Oklahoma State University, where she graduated with honors. She has spent the past 25 years working with organizations in the areas of strategy, organizational culture, executive consulting, and leadership team development. She holds numerous certifications such as Development Dimensions International, Strategic Planning, Organizational Culture Analysis, Executive Coaching, Leading Change, Master Certification in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, and Master Certification from AchieveGlobal.

Her entrepreneurial drive has resulted in her ownership of a small business in her early years, and she was named a Delegate to the White House Conference on Small Business. Over the years, international associations and groups (such as the Association for Talent Development, Entrepreneur's Organization, the Bricktown Venture Capital Conference, and more) have invited Cathy to present on strategy, leadership, and organizational culture. Cathy lives in Oklahoma with her husband, Brady, and two dogs, Ralphie and Gracie.

Our speaker, Bruce Boguski, was in a car accident at the age of 18 and was paralyzed from the neck down.  After two years, he regained full use of his body and went on to become a two-time Ohio state champion in racquetball and played on a state championship softball team.  He has been a baseball coach and assistant football coach at the high school level, as well as a tennis coach at the college level.

Today, he spends most of his time making speeches throughout North America.  He has made over 1,800 presentations to student groups, educators, associations, chambers of commerce, large and small corporations, secretarial groups, and government agencies.   He is one of the most "in-demand" speakers in the country, doing nearly 100 presentations each year.  Bruce is the author of several recent books and CDs….he is also a huge proponent of living a healthy lifestyle.

Leanne Shupe
Growing up on the East Coast of Canada, Leanne studied commerce between Dalhousie University and the Bader International Study Center in England. With a focus in finance and marketing, she got her start in advertising with Ogilvy & Mather in both the Sydney and Toronto offices supporting a mix of Fortune 500 accounts across industries. Today Leanne works at Solstice - a digital innovation and emerging technology firm in Chicago/NY. This experience across the entire customer journey enables her to support client engagement and strategy efforts - often selling to CSuite leaders navigating how today's world as it relates to opportunities and big business impact. She has a passion for travel, tacos and her dog Tucker.

Josh Davids

Josh Davids is the President and CEO of Scytec Consulting Inc. which was formed in 2001 and is headquartered in Greenwood Village, Colorado.  Josh’s background is in engineering, computer science, and he has an MBA with a focus on project management.  These skills have allowed Josh to consult and implement Industry 4.0 solutions for the manufacturing industry across the globe for the last 20 years along with giving talks and leading workshops at many industry events and tradeshows.  

Josh’s primary focus within Scytec has been to use technology to design and implement innovative products and systems such as Scytec DataXchange to improve productivity of manufacturing equipment and personnel within the industry. In addition, Josh is a member of the MTConnect Technical Advisory Group and works closely with key customers consulting on strategy and vision for IIoT, OEE, and manufacturing data collection systems.

Doreen Shanahan

Doreen Shanahan began teaching at Pepperdine University’s business school in 2002 and has been recognized with numerous teaching awards. She created and successful scaled the business school’s client-based experiential learning program, ranked by U.S. News & World Report: “Top 10 College Courses That Will Pay Off at Work,” and serves as the programs Academic Director.  Her research and consulting focuses on fostering growth through acute understanding of industry change, market situations, risks and innovation opportunities. Shanahan has developed and written over three hundred consulting business school cases with multi-national, national, and regional organizations, tackling challenging business issues across a range of industries; companies such as, Baxter, Warner Bros., BT/Infonet, Flour, Raytheon, The Coca-Cola Company, Dean Foods, The Walt Disney Company, Experian, MGM, Cisco, Sony, and Volvo. Prior to joining academia, Shanahan was a Vice President with The Coca-Cola Company.  She has worked in the consumer package goods, publishing and advertising industries and consulted across a broad range of consumer, manufacturing, industrial, healthcare and advertising related industries.  Shanahan has been a key note speaker and presenter at numerous industry and academic conferences.
