The PMPA Business Trends Sales Index remained level and elevated at 149 for April 2024-up nine points or 6.4 percent from April 2023’s reading. Volatility is down, and we are tracking currently with the Federal Reserve’s industrial Production Indicator. Our Index has a strong correlation to the calendar year end for sales, and we forecast a more optimistic year for our shops than most would expect. But don’t take our word for it, look at the correlation data table, coefficients, and graph to see why we think that 2024 might just be your second-best year ever- despite the news.
