Political Update: The 113th Congress – Common Ground or More of the Same?
Omar Nashashibi, Partner - The Franklin Partnership LLP, Washington, D.C.

With the Republicans controlling the House and a Democratic stronghold on the Senate will our elected officials find common ground to move the country forward or can we expect more partisan gridlock in 2013?

Omar Nashashibi of The Franklin Partnership, PMPA’s retained lobbyist, will examine how the decisions made on Capitol Hill in the next few months will impact both your business and you personally. As a Washington insider who interacts daily with legislators and senior-level staffers who guide policy decisions, Omar will share with us his perspective on the critical issues before Congress, including the PMPA legislative agenda.

SPEAKER PROFILE: Omar Nashashibi is a founding partner of the D.C. based government relations firm, The Franklin Partnership. Omar serves as PMPA's "boots on the ground" on Capitol Hill where he represents the PMPA on a daily basis in his firm's on-going communications with legislators and regulators. He has a thorough understanding of the issues facing domestic manufacturing because of this extensive work with not only the PMPA, but also the Precision Metalforming Association and the National Tooling and Machining Association, whom The Franklin Partnership also represents in Washington, DC.
