Selecting the right IIoT, OEE and machine monitoring system goes deeper than just looking at features and promises of ROI. Josh Davids, President and CEO of Scytec Consulting Inc. will be our featured speaker and will discuss both positive and negative fundamental components to look for when selecting a machine monitoring system. He will also review best practices to gain acceptance on the shop floor, change the culture, and redefine ‘normal’ as using data as part of the day-to-day processes rather than as an additional task. The Scytec DataXchange software will be used as an example, along with reviewing data from the machines at Abbott. The discussion is intended to be interactive, so all questions are welcome.

Speaker Information:

Josh Davids is the President and CEO of Scytec Consulting Inc. which was formed in 2001 and is headquartered in Greenwood Village, Colorado. Josh’s background is in engineering, computer science, and he has an MBA with a focus on project management. These skills have allowed Josh to consult and implement Industry 4.0 solutions for the manufacturing industry across the globe for the last 20 years along with giving talks and leading workshops at many industry events and tradeshows. Josh’s primary focus within Scytec has been to use technology to design and implement innovative products and systems such as Scytec DataXchange on thousands of machines at hundreds of sites to improve productivity of manufacturing equipment and personnel within the industry. In addition, Josh is a member of the MTConnect Technical Advisory Group and works closely with key customers consulting on strategy and vision for IIoT, OEE, and manufacturing data collection systems.
