Inside Surfaces

The shape of the tools used to produce the inside surfaces of a part varies drastically from those used to shape outside surfaces.

Some of the tools used are drills, step drills, reamers, taps, boring and recessing tools, and broaches.

Drawing #23 illustrates some of the many different inside surfaces common to precision machined products.
