My Meetings

The concept behind the Management Update Conference is to "update" the audience on issues of concern to owners and managers of small and mid-size metalworking companies. Program topics and speakers are selected by the Management Update Committee, comprised of company owners and top managers. The Conference begins Friday morning and ends before noon on Sunday. Group meals and receptions are included on the program to further the naturally occurring networking and sharing of information which is a hallmark of PMPA members.

Cancellation and Other Policies:
Conference registration fees will be refunded in full if cancellations are received at PMPA by 5:00 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2016. Fees for cancellations after February 12th cannot be refunded, but substitutions will be accepted.

General Hotel Information:
Room rates for the Conference are $229.00 (plus taxes) single/double.

Hotel deadline for guaranteed room reservations is Friday, January 22, 2016. Reservation requests received after the cut-off date will be based on availability at Hotel's prevailing rates.

Travel Information:
The Lowes Portofino Bay Hotel is located on the Universal Orlando Resort property and features three themed pools, a full service Mandara Spa, onsite shopping and art galleries, plus three restaurants.

The Loews Portofino Bay is 15 miles from Orlando International Airport. All major car rental companies operate out of the airport, and taxis and shuttles are available to and from the hotel.

The Loews Portofino Bay offers both valet and self-parking. For valet parking, please allow 20 minutes for the retrieval of your vehicle. (fees apply)
  • Overnight Self Parking is $20 per vehicle, per day
  • Overnight Valet Parking is $27 per vehicle, per day
  • Day Guest Self Parking is $22 per vehicle
  • Day Guest Valet Parking is $32 per vehicle
